Open any code from the library to see its page. The code is on the left. Choose Edited to see it as designed, or Raw to see exactly what the encoder draws: black on white, square modules, no frame or logo. Downloads always use the edited design.
What it carries and where it goes
- Where it goes: for a dynamic code, the destination its short link sends people to. Choose Change destination to change it. See Changing where a code goes.
- What it carries: the Raw value, exactly what the symbol holds, character for character. A dynamic code carries its short link, and a scan is passed on to the destination.
- Colours: the module, background and eye colours.
A code made for a short link opens that link. Change where it goes on the link itself.
Scans
Scans, all time counts every scan of a dynamic code. Choose Analytics for the breakdowns. A static code shows Not counted: its content is in the pattern, so nothing sits between it and the phone to count it.
Download
Choose a format. SVG, PDF and EPS are vector, so a print shop can scale them without softening. PNG, WEBP and JPG are for screens. Press files prepares files for a print shop. See Printing a code.
Where it's printed
Record each place a copy is displayed, with an optional note and photo, such as "Front window, left panel". The register records where copies are, not how often each is scanned: every copy carries the same code.
To count copies separately, choose Serialise copies. Each serialised copy gets its own path and its own count, and you're told when one is scanned in an unusual number of places or in a sudden spike.
Custom ending
Choose Add a custom ending to give the code a second, readable short link after qrrd.in/. Both endings resolve for ever. A custom ending can be chosen once, so check the spelling before you save. Your plan sets how short it can be.
Test mode
Scanning your own printout? Start test mode for 1 hour and those scans won't count. It switches itself off after an hour.
More actions
- Duplicate: a copy with its own short code. Nothing about the original changes.
- Save design as template: reuse this design under Apply design in your library.
- Add tag: label the code. See Tags.
- Archive: moves the code to the 30-day trash. The printed code keeps resolving; archiving takes it out of your library, never off the edge. Choose Restore to bring it back.
- Transfer to another account: offer the code to another account by email. They have 7 days to accept. It keeps its short link and its scan history, every printed copy keeps working, and you lose access once they accept.
