Email QR code generator
One scan opens a new email addressed to you, with the subject already written. Nobody mistypes your address.
An email QR code stores a mailto: link with the address, and optionally a subject and body, so a phone opens a ready-written email.
Style this code — colour, shape, branding, frame and output
Colour & contrastThe ink, the paper behind it, and the three eyes. Every choice is contrast-checked as you make it.
ShapeHow the squares are drawn. The three eyes are styled apart from the data, because a scanner finds the code by them.
BrandingYour mark on the code. Every picture here costs scanability — the notes say how much, and the preview is the truth.
Frame & captionA border and a line of text around the code — the "scan me" that tells a passer-by what it is for.
OutputWhat comes out of the download buttons, and what the symbol actually carries.
Print-ready PDF
A press file at the finished size: 3mm bleed, crop marks and a trim box a print shop’s checks read. The code is drawn black on white whatever the design above — how a colour prints is something only a test print can show.
Use the subject as a tracker
A static email code has no analytics — but the subject line does the same job. Put the location or campaign in it ("Catering enquiry — Andheri standee") and your inbox tells you which printed asset is working.
Keep the body short or leave it out
A pre-filled body is supported, but every character grows the code. Long template text pushes the version high enough that the code stops printing well on a business card. Subject-only is usually the right trade.
Where it beats a URL
For enquiries, quotes and support, an email code removes a step — no landing page, no form, no consent banner. The reply arrives in a thread you already know how to handle.
Email QR code questions
Which mail app opens?
Whichever is the phone default — Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook. The mailto: format is handled natively by all of them.
Can I pre-fill the message body?
Yes, but it adds bytes fast. Keep it to one short line if you use it at all.
Is my email address visible to scanners?
Yes — it is in the code, which is the point. If you want it hidden, use a hosted contact form instead.
Can I track opens?
Not with a static code. Use a dynamic URL code pointing at a form if you need scan analytics.
