Text QR code generator
Put a plain message inside the code itself. No internet, no server, no destination that can ever break.
A text QR code stores plain words in the symbol itself, so a phone shows them with no connection and no website.
Style this code — colour, shape, branding, frame and output
Colour & contrastThe ink, the paper behind it, and the three eyes. Every choice is contrast-checked as you make it.
ShapeHow the squares are drawn. The three eyes are styled apart from the data, because a scanner finds the code by them.
BrandingYour mark on the code. Every picture here costs scanability — the notes say how much, and the preview is the truth.
Frame & captionA border and a line of text around the code — the "scan me" that tells a passer-by what it is for.
OutputWhat comes out of the download buttons, and what the symbol actually carries.
Print-ready PDF
A press file at the finished size: 3mm bleed, crop marks and a trim box a print shop’s checks read. The code is drawn black on white whatever the design above — how a colour prints is something only a test print can show.
The only type with no dependency
A text QR holds its content in the modules themselves. There is no URL, no redirect, no hosting — so there is nothing to expire, nothing to pay for, and nothing that stops working when a company shuts down. For instructions, batch numbers, serial codes and short notices, it is the most durable option there is.
Length is the whole design problem
Because the message is the payload, every word makes the code denser and the minimum print size larger. A 40-character note stays at version 2 and prints from about 16mm. A 200-character paragraph needs version 9 and roughly three times the area. The readout under the preview shows the version live as you type.
Devanagari and Gujarati
Non-Latin text is encoded as UTF-8 through ECI, which every modern phone camera reads. It costs about three bytes per character instead of one, so keep Indic messages shorter than you would in English.
Text QR code questions
Does the phone need internet?
No. The text is inside the code, so the camera displays it with no network at all.
Can I edit the text later?
No — it is baked in. If the message changes, generate a new code. For anything that might change, use a dynamic URL code instead.
What is the character limit?
Technically thousands, but practically about 100–150 characters before the code becomes too dense to print at a usable size.
Will Hindi text display correctly?
Yes, encoded as UTF-8 via ECI. It is read correctly by current iOS and Android cameras.
