A dynamic code prints a short link. Changing its destination changes where every printed copy sends people, without reprinting anything. Static codes can't be changed, because their content is in the pattern.
Open the code and choose Change destination.
Change the destination
Enter the new address and choose Save and propagate. The change reaches every edge location within 10 seconds. Every change is kept in the destination history with who made it, so you can see what a code pointed to on any date.
Every new destination is screened for known phishing and malware before it's saved.
Schedule a change
Choose Schedule a change to switch the destination at a set time, such as a lunch menu at noon or an offer that starts on Monday.
Not live yet
Set Goes live on to hold a code until a launch. Before that time, scanners see a "Not live yet" page with the time in their own time zone, or the address you choose.
Behaviour and gates
- Pause this code: scans land on a page you control instead of the destination. Reversible at any time.
- Password protection: a password screen first, for staff-only or pre-launch pages.
- Age gate: a date-of-birth confirmation, needed for alcohol menus in several markets.
- Email capture: ask for an email before continuing. Submissions go to your forms inbox.
- Expiry: end the code by date or by number of scans, then show a page you choose. Scanners never see a browser error.
- Destination health monitor: we check the destination and email you within 30 minutes of it going down.
Print-location tag
Record where this code is physically displayed. Zero-scan alerts quote it, so you know which object to go and look at.
If your plan changes
A dynamic code keeps resolving to its last destination whatever happens to your plan. If you downgrade or cancel, you lose the ability to change it, not the code itself. Reactivating restores control, with the destination history intact.
