UPI QR code with the amount built in
A fixed-amount code the payer cannot mistype. Validated against five wallets before you print it.

NPCI UPIThis writes a UPI URI — the NPCI standard every Indian payment app reads. Setting an amount makes it a fixed-value code.

A fixed amount is a different code, not a setting
The amount is encoded in the QR itself, so a printed fixed-value code is fixed forever. For a till that takes varying amounts, print an open code and let the payer type the figure.
Two decimal places, always
The UPI spec takes the amount as a decimal string. ₹250 and ₹250.00 encode differently, and some apps display the first as entered rather than normalising it.
The code is checked before you download it
Every field is validated against the same five-wallet compatibility engine the UPI generator uses. A code that would fail in one app is refused rather than drawn.
Questions
Can I change the amount after printing?
No — the amount is part of what the symbol encodes, so a printed code carries the figure it was made with. Print one amount-locked code per price, or leave the amount out and let the payer type it. A repointable code is a different object: it carries a link rather than a payment, and a UPI app cannot pay a link.
Will every UPI app honour the amount?
The five wallets we test against — Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and Amazon Pay — all read the amount field. The compatibility matrix on the UPI page shows what was verified and what was not.
