PromptPay QR code generator
A Thai PromptPay code to a mobile number, a national or tax ID, or an e-wallet. Any Thai banking app reads it and the payer confirms the transfer.
A PromptPay QR code stores a Thai payment request for a phone number or ID, read by Thai banking apps to pay.
Style this code — colour, shape, branding, frame and output
Colour & contrastThe ink, the paper behind it, and the three eyes. Every choice is contrast-checked as you make it.
ShapeHow the squares are drawn. The three eyes are styled apart from the data, because a scanner finds the code by them.
BrandingYour mark on the code. Every picture here costs scanability — the notes say how much, and the preview is the truth.
Frame & captionA border and a line of text around the code — the "scan me" that tells a passer-by what it is for.
OutputWhat comes out of the download buttons, and what the symbol actually carries.
Print-ready PDF
A press file at the finished size: 3mm bleed, crop marks and a trim box a print shop’s checks read. The code is drawn black on white whatever the design above — how a colour prints is something only a test print can show.
An ID is checked before anything is drawn
A Thai national ID and a company tax ID both end in a check digit, so a mistyped one is detectable rather than merely wrong. It is checked before the code is built and nothing is drawn if it fails. A mobile number has no check digit, so read it back before you print.
The same format as PIX and QRIS
PromptPay is the EMVCo merchant-presented layout with a CRC at the end, built by the same encoder family as our PIX and QRIS codes. A code with an amount is marked as single-amount; one without leaves the payer to type it.
Thai banks, not Indian ones
This is Thailand’s scheme and is denominated in baht. For India the equivalent is UPI, which has its own generator with the app compatibility matrix.
PromptPay QR codes
Which apps read it?
Every Thai banking app with PromptPay, from the scan button inside the app. A camera app shows the code as text, which tells you it scans and not that it pays.
Can I leave the amount blank?
Yes. The payer enters it, which is what a code on a counter or a door usually wants.
Which ID should I use?
The one you registered for PromptPay with your bank. A business usually registers its tax ID; a person, their mobile number or national ID.
Do you see the payment?
No. The code is a string your bank’s app reads. The money moves between the two banks and never passes through us.
