QR code for a Facebook page
Your page or profile URL in a code. Paste the whole address — Facebook has too many address shapes to guess one from a name.
A Facebook QR code stores the address of a Facebook page or profile, which a phone opens in the Facebook app.
Style this code — colour, shape, branding, frame and output
Colour & contrastThe ink, the paper behind it, and the three eyes. Every choice is contrast-checked as you make it.
ShapeHow the squares are drawn. The three eyes are styled apart from the data, because a scanner finds the code by them.
BrandingYour mark on the code. Every picture here costs scanability — the notes say how much, and the preview is the truth.
Frame & captionA border and a line of text around the code — the "scan me" that tells a passer-by what it is for.
OutputWhat comes out of the download buttons, and what the symbol actually carries.
Print-ready PDF
A press file at the finished size: 3mm bleed, crop marks and a trim box a print shop’s checks read. The code is drawn black on white whatever the design above — how a colour prints is something only a test print can show.
The address is checked, not assembled
Facebook pages live at /yourname, at /pages/… and behind numeric ids, and a profile is different again. A URL built from a page name is a guess, and a guess that 404s after a print run cannot be corrected. What you paste is validated as being on Facebook and encoded as it stands.
It cannot count scans and it cannot follow
A static code has nothing in its path to observe a scan, and no platform lets a scanned code like or follow on someone’s behalf. "Scan to follow us" describes something that does not happen.
Rename the page and the code dies
The address is in the ink. If a rename is plausible, print a dynamic code pointing at the page instead, so the destination can move without a reprint.
Facebook QR codes
Why will it not accept my link?
It must be on facebook.com or fb.com. A shortener is refused rather than encoded, because we cannot tell what it points at and neither can the person scanning.
Will it open the app?
If installed and it claims the link. Otherwise the browser, which shows the same page.
Can I make one for a group?
Yes, if the group has a public facebook.com address.
Does it work if the page is unpublished?
No — an unpublished page is visible only to its admins, so the scan lands on an error. Publish the page before the code goes to print.
Want to change it after it’s printed?
Make it a dynamic code: it carries a short link you can point somewhere new at any time, and it counts every scan. A free account includes 5 dynamic codes and needs no card — and a dynamic code keeps redirecting even if you never upgrade.
