Barcode scanner
Point a camera at a barcode, or drop an image of one, and see the value it carries and whether its check digit is right. Nothing is uploaded.

One decoder reads this page, and the readout says which symbology it found rather than claiming a second opinion it does not have. The QR scanner runs two because two exist for QR codes; no second linear decoder ships here, so none is reported.
Barcode scanner questions
Which barcodes can it read?
EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, ITF and Codabar, plus the GS1 DataBar family — 11 formats in all. QR codes are a different shape and have their own scanner. Data Matrix, PDF417 and Aztec are read by neither page today.
Does the image leave my device?
No. The decoder runs in your browser, the camera stream is never uploaded, and the page has no endpoint to send an image to. Closing the tab discards everything.
What does the check digit verdict mean?
Most retail symbologies end in a digit computed from the ones before it, so a till can tell a misread from a real value. This checks the digit you scanned against the one the value implies, using the same rule our generator refuses bad input with. A wrong digit means the barcode is wrong, not that the scan was.
It read the value but says nothing about a check digit
Code 39, Code 93 and Codabar define no mandatory check digit, so there is nothing in the value to verify. The row says so rather than showing a pass — an unanswered question is not a clean bill.
