GETTING STARTED

Getting started with qrcodegenerator.in

What the dashboard is for, the one decision that matters before you print, and where to go next.

Everything you make lives in one workspace: QR codes, barcodes, short links and landing pages, with their scans in one place.

The overview

The overview is the first screen after you sign in. It shows:

  • Scans this month and unique visitors across all your codes.
  • Active dynamic codes, and how many your plan has left.
  • Needs your attention: codes that haven't been scanned for 14 days, destinations that have stopped answering, and anything else worth a look.
  • Recent codes, with a link to the full library.

Choose Customise to decide which of these panels you see.

Static or dynamic: decide before you print

Every code is one or the other, and it can't be switched after printing.

  • Static puts the content in the pattern itself. It works with no signal, never expires and never changes. Static codes are unlimited on every plan.
  • Dynamic prints a short link, such as qrrd.in/a8K92x. You can change where it goes after printing, and its scans are counted. Each one uses one of your plan's dynamic codes.

If the destination might ever change, such as a menu, an offer or a campaign, choose dynamic. For Wi-Fi details or a contact card that won't change, static is the better choice.

A printed code keeps working

A dynamic code never stops resolving for a billing reason. If you downgrade, cancel or a payment fails, it keeps sending people to its last destination. You lose editing and analytics, never the code. What happens when you stop paying has the detail.

Where to go next

  1. Create your first code.
  2. Design it so it scans.
  3. Print it at the right size.

Every screen in the dashboard has a help button in the top bar, which opens the article for that screen.
